PRISM^TM is a fully mobile telecommunication solution that provides information collection and access at the point of care – wherever that may occur. PRISM^TM enables providers to collect information on a customized template using a very simple “point and click” interface on a palm held PDA, or smart phone, as well as a laptop or desktop. A synchronized central data storehouse - or virtual office - allows this data to be backed up, called up, and distributed instantly as directed, so that it may be shared immediately with others, such as clinicians and billing services.

 

PRISM^TM also allows providers to dictate notes for transcription within 24 hours, order prescriptions and process referrals. Ordered prescriptions are automatically checked for drug interactions and formulary compliance for reimbursement by the patient’s insurance benefits provider.

 

PRISM^TM software runs on many portable devises using Windows CE as an operating system. It has been used on handhelds and smart phones, as well as tablets and other PCs. With the recommended PDA, up to 10,000 electronic health records (EHRs) can be stored, used and updated locally, on the handheld device. Synchronization with the virtual office can be done anywhere there’s a wireless connection, or a G-3 cell phone signal. A desktop or laptop with internet access can also be used to access the PRISM^TM virtual office.
